110 mesh screen printing mesh size
In the silk screen printing process, different mesh screen sizes can be used for different applications. The higher the number of mesh screen, the finer the threads and holes in the screening. The size of the mesh screen is related to the detail level of the image and the thickness of the ink used. If your image has high detail, the lower mesh printing screen will not be able to retain the high detail. Similarly, if you are using a thinner ink, the ink will overflow from the larger holes and soak into your shirt or substrate, which will blur the image when the ink oozes out. On the other hand, if you try to print a thicker ink (such as white) from the height of the mesh, almost no ink will print through the mesh. Since mesh screen printing involves many variables, we can provide you with a general overview of the sizes to be used for certain types of screen printing mesh.
If the ink is a water-based ink, usually choose a mesh with a lower mesh size. The reference range of the mesh is (120 mesh-180 mesh). The mesh number is too large and the inkjet effect is not good.
Solvent-based inks are generally used in higher-quality printing effects, such as outdoor advertising, product label logos, general selection of screen mesh (190-420 mesh)
UV ink is a kind of special ink, generally choose high mesh (355 mesh -460 mesh)
