Features of stainless steel silk screen printing
Stainless steelmesh screen printing is a printing technology that uses mesh screen to transfer ink to substrate. The blade or scraper moves across the printing screen to fill the openings in the grid with ink. The template blocks some of the openings in the mesh to create the design on the surface to be printed.
Nowadays, the most commonly used media for screen printing mesh are polyester screen printing mesh, nylon and stainless steel.
Characteristics of stainless steel silk screen printing
1) Tension
2) Stability and durability
3) Heating capacity
4) Cost saving
5) Accurate printing of calendar
Although stainless steel braid may be a good solution for many screen print mesh applications, other types of media may be more suitable in some cases.
1. If you are using fabric mesh or elastic surface, nylon or juku may be a better medium for you. Unlike stainless steel mesh, polyester or nylon has the ability to form a soft surface
2. Woven wire mesh is usually more expensive than nylon or polyester. If you need the durability and precision of stainless steel braid, it's perfect for you. If your application doesn't need these features, synthetic materials may serve you.
3. If printing on very fragile materials (such as ceramics), the screen may damage the surface. This is another case, and it's better to use synthetic materials.
